Why?
Would you like to work with focus and without distractions for once? You are not the only one. There has never been more distraction. Nowadays, the stimuli we have to process are five times higher than a few decades ago. It is dynamic and challenging, but also complex. A single telephone call or diary change is enough to upset your schedule. In such an environment, only one skill keeps getting more important: total focus.
What do you learn?
You will learn more about types of focus: when it is best to focus on a single task, when it is better to combine assignments, and what multitasking does to your brain. You will also learn to recognise and control focus techniques, and how to pay attention to the right things – in line with the rhythm of your mind.
Maximum 12 participants.
- Three types of focus
You will learn about the three focus types and find out to what extent you have already mastered them. How focused are you on your vision and mission (long term)? Do you follow the necessary processes and schedules to achieve objectives (transition)? And are you able to focus on the task at hand right now (short term)?
- Single-tasking or multitasking?
You will learn in which situations it is best to focus on one task, when it is better to combine tasks, and what multitasking does to your brain.
- Distractions, interruptions and temptations
You will discover where and when your focus vanishes, and how you can get rid of any distraction in your work environment.
- From busying to productivity
As soon as you have your focus leaks under control, it is time to mindfully focus on the right matters, and make productive choices.
- Balanced planning and working
Your brain uses a lot of energy. If you want to be focused on your work, it is important to schedule your working days and weeks to your own rhythm.
- Your focus
You will conclude the course with a personal action plan that helps you to convert your new insights into action.
