Why?
An efficient evacuation procedure in case of fire is vital. But it is also important to have a basic understanding of fire prevention and firefighting. This course consists of a theoretical and a practical element. You will be handling extinguishing equipment yourself to ensure you are optimally prepared in the event of an emergency situation.
What kind of room do you need for the course?
The course takes place in a training centre or on the premise of your company. If you choose the latter option, it is important that your organisation's parking area is large enough for our truck and meets these conditions:
- 20 metres long and 4 metres wide at a minimum
- A clear height of about 6 metres (watch out for trees)
- An entrance of 3 metres wide and 4 metres high
- A sufficiently large turning radius for the tractor and trailer
Don’t have such a space available? Opt for our ‘Fire safety – digital extinguishing’ course.
What will you learn?
This course consists of a theoretical and a practical element. Choose between a session of 4 or 8 hours with extra practical exercises. If you prefer a different setup, we can customise a course for you.
There is a maximum of 12 participants per course. In this way, you gain as much practical experience as possible, allowing you to respond adequately in specific situations.

What does the law say?
Each company is legally required to have an in-house firefighting service. It consists of several employees who act efficiently in the event of a fire (hazard). The size of your organisation is irrelevant to this requirement.
A risk analysis determines how many employees the firefighting service must contain. This depends on your company size, type of business operations and the fire risk.
As an employer, you are legally obligated to provide members of the firefighting service with the necessary training. Raising awareness is important to inform all other employees of fire hazards, what to do in the event of a fire and how to evacuate.

A risk analysis determines how many employees the firefighting service must engage. This depends on your company size, type of business operations, and the fire risk.
Who should receive fire training in my organisation?
Every organisation must have several employees that act efficiently in the event of a fire hazard, i.e. the firefighting service.
