Who am I?
Having a good balance between sources of stress and motivation creates a win-win situation for both employee and employer.
When the so-called ‘bullying law’ came into force, I was one of the first psychosocial wellbeing prevention advisers to be working in an external service.
That pioneering work enabled me to become familiar with many activities: supervising employees and teams, developing and presenting training courses, carrying out specific and collective risk analyses, implementing action plans, supporting employers in their policies and handling psychosocial (conflict) situations in the workplace.
How do I relax? I spent several years studying at art school. I still occupy myself with painting and ceramics in my spare time.
You will either step forward into growth or you will step back into safety."Abraham H. Maslow American psychologist
Expertise
As a psychologist, I am fascinated by people’s thoughts, feelings and actions. In problem situations, I try to understand what the triggering factors are. This enables us to create a healthy and workable situation.
As a business manager, I used to manage a team of consultants to develop and expand non-legal services. That led to a successful stress and engagement survey that now provides the basis for a twin-track policy: preventing stress and promoting motivation.
As an occupational psychologist, I enjoy analysing how employees experience their work and what effect this has on their well-being, health and success in business. My creative side and pragmatic approach help to develop an action plan after analysis that responds to clients’ specific needs.
