Discounted launch campaign for new ergonomics app SelfBack

04-07-24

SelfBack, the brand-new app for back health, enables organisations to approach back pain the right way and improve the musculoskeletal health of each individual employee. To mark the launch of our new partnership with SelfBack, we're offering 30 clients the chance to sign up to this solution at a discounted launch rate.

Under the new legislation on ergonomics, employers are obliged to set up a prevention policy. In doing so, efforts to improve workstations and working conditions must take priority. But how do you bring people in the workplace on board with this type of policy? SelfBack, the new app for a healthy back, offers one way to achieve just that. The app gives employees access to a comprehensive programme that helps them monitor and improve their ergonomic and general health. Using a proactive approach, the app prevents lower back pain and encourages musculoskeletal health.

Code red for ergonomics: the facts

  • One-third of all long-term absenteeism is caused by back and muscle pain.
  • Around half of all employees reported back pain over the past year.
  • Back pain is the number one cause for early retirement.
  • Ergonomic problems can lead to high direct and indirect costs for organisations.

What is SelfBack?

As a user, the SelfBack app gives you a tool for digital ergonomic 'self-management' and to follow the best possible treatment. Through your smartphone, you gain access to an individual plan with exercises for both strength and flexibility, tips and information about back pain, and a step counter to track your physical activity.

The app is fully backed by scientific evidence. SelfBack is the result of five years of development by world-leading researchers and doctors in the field of musculoskeletal conditions and the work environment. As such, the app is a CE-certified medical aid and part of the MHealth-register.

How does it work?

SelfBack does not use any sensors or wearables. Individual treatment plans are generated based on answers to questionnaires and feedback on exercises provided by users themselves. Using this feedback, the duration and difficulty level of the programme are adjusted.

Gerrit Pollentier, Head of Ergonomics at Mensura: "We're more than happy to support our clients on their journey towards a holistic approach to back pain. Improving workstations and working conditions is a crucial element in this, but often cannot be achieved in an instant. Even with 'ideal' workstations, awareness of individual work capacity remains essential.

The best thing about this app is that it enables you to reduce the cost of employees taking time off sick, at the same time as showing your employees that their health is a priority at your organisation. The result is a healthier and more productive workplace where people can flourish."

As a client, we are now giving you the opportunity to test this app at a healthy discount as part of our launch campaign. Depending on the size of your organisation, you'll only be paying the following amounts in total for the first three months:

TypeAmount
A€ 2.500
B€ 1.000
C+€ 250

Comparison: the standard rate for three months of use in a medical context (as a treatment eligible for reimbursement or part thereof) is € 100 for one patient. Following the test period, we will assess the situation, and we will consult with you on how to proceed.
