ARCoP elects Gerald Dombret as new chairman
ARCoP, the association of French-language prevention advisors, has appointed Gerald Dombret as its new chairman. Dombret, who has worked at Mensura for eleven years, wants to rejuvenate the image of ARCoP and diversify its range of activities. “We focus on the needs of prevention advisors.”
ARCoP, which stands for Association Royale des Conseillers en Prévention, unites all French-language prevention advisors and defends their interests. The organisation just recently announced the appointment of its new chairman, Gerald Dombret, who takes up the torch from Philippe Humblet. The new face of ARCoP has been a prevention advisor for years at companies that produce hazardous substances. In addition, Dombret has been working at Mensura since 2007, including as a prevention advisor and Risk Management Manager for Wallonia.
A younger image
The chairman has already identified several challenges for ARCoP. “The aim is to rejuvenate the image and bring diversity to the activities,” says Dombret. “We also want to increase our visibility, provide support and create even more added value for our members. In that context, the website and newsletter will be updated and we will organise the training courses, seminars and symposia differently. In other words, we focus on the needs of our prevention advisors to offer them an even better customised service.”
A chance to show expertise
Having Dombret as a chairman also holds opportunities for Mensura. “This is another opportunity to show our expertise. The fact that several Mensura colleagues are in external bodies such as Prebes, Co-Prev and BES proves how indispensable our knowledge is in the Belgian prevention sector.”
